Where our information comes from

We rank sources by trust: manufacturer manuals, support pages, and service bulletins, and government or standards bodies first; established technical repair publishers second. Forums and community posts are never used for safety guidance.

How a guide is built

1. Facts are extracted from sources with the exact location and a short quotation, and stored separately from the text you read.
2. A person verifies each fact against its source before any guide that uses it can be published.
3. The guide is assembled from verified facts. Sentences that are not backed by a verified, cited fact are not published.
4. Automated checks run before publishing: source coverage, citation freshness, confidence, safety sourcing, uniqueness, and a recorded human safety review whenever a step involves a hazard.

Automation and AI

We use software, including AI models, to help extract facts and draft diagnostic flows. Nothing drafted this way reaches a public page without human verification and the checks above.

Corrections

Sources are rechecked at least every 180 days. When a source changes or a fact is retracted, affected guides are checked again; safety-related failures take a guide offline immediately. Report an error.
