What's Broke publishes troubleshooting guides for household appliances. Each guide explains what an error code or symptom means, which causes are most likely, which checks are safe to do yourself, and when to stop and call a professional.

Every factual statement on a guide is tied to a source, usually the manufacturer's own manual or support page. Guides are generated from structured, cited facts and published only after a person has verified those facts and, for anything involving electricity, water lines, or other hazards, reviewed the safety guidance.
